Writing Guide Terms of Use

1. Agreeing to these terms and minimum age
These terms cover Writing Guide's free beta. Before generating, review these terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 and confirm your age before generating. Children under 13 may not use the service. If you are under 18, obtain a parent or guardian's permission where required by law.
2. Only submit your own writing
You may upload or paste only writing you authored. Do not submit another person's writing, private messages or confidential material as your own. Identify and exclude third-party quotations from style analysis where the service provides that option. You remain responsible for having the rights to any material included in a submission.
You keep ownership of your original writing. You give George Wiley and the service providers the limited permission needed to process it, create your requested guide, and operate and secure those functions under the Privacy Policy. This is not permission to sell your data or train AI models on your writing.
Samples are deleted from active application storage after generation unless you separately opt in to save them. Generated guides may retain short sample quotations. Generated drafts and response files can remain encrypted for recovery until one hour after generation starts, including failed jobs. Review a guide before sharing it with another person or AI service.
3. AI output has no guarantees
AI-generated guides can be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive or unlike your writing. They can introduce unsupported details or reproduce words from your samples. Check all output, facts and citations before using or sharing it.
We do not guarantee a particular result, a perfect style match, uniqueness, copyright protection, uninterrupted access or completion of every request. Any Match score is an experimental similarity measurement, not proof of authorship or a guarantee that readers will mistake AI writing for yours. The service is provided as available, without warranties to the extent permitted by law.
4. School honesty and acceptable use
You are responsible for your school's, employer's and publisher's rules on AI assistance, attribution and disclosure. Writing Guide does not authorize presenting AI-assisted work as wholly your own when those rules prohibit it.
Do not use the service for unlawful activity, harassment, fraud, unauthorized impersonation, privacy violations, copyright infringement or harmful abuse. Do not upload malware, attack the service, scrape private results, or bypass age, security, rate or spending limits. We may block requests or access to protect users, comply with law or enforce these rules.
5. Free-beta limits
Current limits are shown on the site before you generate. These can include per-browser, shared-IP and simultaneous-job limits. Shared networks can affect your allowance. Clearing cookies does not give permission to bypass limits.
The beta has a limited operator-funded budget and can stop accepting generations when it is exhausted. Failed or cancelled requests may consume quota if work has started. This is not a charge to you. Features may change or become unavailable; this is not a backup service. Download your guide now. Temporary results expire one hour after you start generation, not one hour after the results appear.
6. Future payments and refunds
Payments and subscriptions are not enabled. We do not collect payment details or automatically charge visitors.
If paid features are introduced, we will show the price, billing terms, cancellation process, refund eligibility and timing, and support details before you agree to buy. These terms do not authorize future purchases or recurring charges.
7. Liability limits
To the extent permitted by law, George Wiley is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or opportunities, arising from use of the service. Our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us during the preceding 12 months.
These limits do not exclude fraud, willful misconduct, or liability that cannot legally be limited. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights.
8. Ohio law and changes
Ohio law governs these terms, except where mandatory protections under another applicable law take priority. These terms do not require arbitration or waive access to a court.
