What we collect and why
Writing Guide uses writing you submit, sample labels and your preferences to create a guide to your writing style. Before you choose Generate, intake stays in the current browser tab without automatic local-storage saving. Choosing Generate sends it to our application on Cloudflare and relevant content to Anthropic's API for generation and checks.
We also process technical information needed to authorize requests, prevent abuse and run the service: session identifiers, IP-derived quota identifiers, bot-check results, job status, errors, token usage and estimated costs. Cloudflare receives network information, including IP addresses. Our application quota tables use one-way IP identifiers rather than raw IP addresses.
If document import is enabled, the original file is parsed in your browser; extracted text is sent when you generate. If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message. Avoid submitting sensitive information or someone else's private material.
Your writing is not sold or used for training
We never sell your data or use your writing to train AI models. We use it to provide the guide you request, not to build other users' guides or target advertising.
We use Anthropic's commercial API. Its published Commercial Terms state: “Anthropic may not train models on Customer Content from Services.” This covers inputs and outputs.[1] Generating a guide is processing, not model training. Provider retention is a separate issue, explained below.
Third-party services
- Anthropic — used: processes writing excerpts, instructions and generated content to create and check guides.
- Cloudflare — used: hosts the application, database and workflows, and provides security. Turnstile supplies bot checks when public generation is enabled.
- Google (Gmail) — used for support email: receives and stores messages sent to our support address, including your email address, message and any attachments.
- Exa — when enabled: receives search names, links or handles for optional discovery of writing online.
- Resend — when enabled: receives your email address and information needed to deliver requested sign-in emails.
- Stripe — when enabled: processes payment and billing information. Payment details would go to Stripe, not our application database.
Exa, Resend and Stripe are not enabled for the initial anonymous beta. We will explain any additional processing before enabling those features. Providers may process information outside your country.
Deletion and retention
Unless you explicitly opt in to save samples, we delete your writing samples from our active application storage as soon as generation finishes, including temporary request-bearing processing artifacts. Cancellation or failure also triggers sample cleanup. We do not treat generating a guide as permission to save samples. If sample saving is offered, it will be off by default. We will explain how long saved samples are kept, and you will be able to delete them.
Your generated guide can contain quotations from your writing. Deleting samples does not remove those quotations from a guide you keep. Encrypted generated drafts, model response files and flagged-line previews remain available to the job owner for recovery until one hour after generation starts, including failed jobs. They can contain sample quotations; expiry or erasure removes these recovery files. Download your guide now: temporary results expire one hour after you start generation, not one hour after the results appear.
Limited non-content security and accounting records can remain to enforce spending limits and investigate abuse. Deletion from live storage does not instantly erase infrastructure backups, provider-held records, or copies you downloaded or shared.
Anthropic's API documentation links to its commercial API policy: standard API inputs and outputs are deleted within 30 days, with contractual, feature-specific, safety and legal exceptions.[2][3] Safety-flagged content can be retained longer.[3] We do not promise zero provider retention. Service outages can delay cleanup.
Cookies, age and your choices
Essential cookies authorize access to temporary jobs and help enforce limits. Optional advertising and product-analytics trackers are not enabled for this beta. Clearing cookies may prevent access to a result.
You must confirm that you are at least 13 before generating. Children under 13 may not use the service. This confirmation is self-attestation; we do not collect a birth date to verify it.
For access, correction, deletion or privacy concerns, contact gmoneysuperg7@gmail.com. We may need limited information to verify your request. Applicable rights depend on your location. We will announce material changes and update the effective date before changed practices take effect where required.
